Outside my window the sky takes on a very different blue from summer.  Some days it is the color of steel gray.  During New England winter I think it is mostly this color.  On my walks by the ocean that color of steel overwhelms me with reflecting water and sky.  Winter is a more contemplative time and filled with many opportunities to be calm and reflect.  It is difficult to accept the fact that green is no longer the dominent color except for evergreens.
