I vacation on Cape Cod most summers, but I had never taken the ferry to Nantucket. This work is about that experience of being on an island surrounded by water. I reflected on how different it was to view the water this way rather than from shore, with a horizon line between water and sky. My work is about the bird's eye view .  Nature's islands surrounded by water are a delicate balance and are ever changing lile the changing nature of my abstract paintinhg as I push and pull sweeping across canvas like weather and water sweeping across an island.
